PURPOSE: The Raise the Bear campaign is the most important annual giving opportunity at Beresford – ensuring that we can fund our initiatives for the school year. Raise the Bear typically raises more than 50% of our operating budget.

EXPECTATION: The suggested donation per child is $500. We ask and encourage you to give what you can; no amount is too small or too big and every donation truly makes a significant difference at a small school like Beresford.

Grandparents and company match programs are great sources of support. Please find out if your company matches donations (many use a portal like Benevity.org) and your HR department can help you make your donation and request a company match simultaneously. Donations are fully tax deductible and our Tax ID is 94-3302025.

TIMELINE: While we have an official Raise the Bear Week (August 24-28) to ensure we can meet our budgetary commitments, we are happy to accept your donation whenever works best for your family.

If you are able to donate by check, it saves the PTA a 3% processing fee! Please make out your check to Beresford Elementary PTA, and drop it off at the office or with any PTA board member at one of our events.
